Thats right. I have been talking about selling this monster for a long while now and have yet to post him up on here. So here we go. The Forge World Blood Thirster that I painted up for the Crystal Brushes competition at Adepticon 2012 is for sale. I was originally going to hang onto this model because he is an awesome piece... and he is massive. Just a little too massive for my shelf so he has to go. I am asking $550 plus shipping for this competition painted piece. If you are interested send me an email at commissions@2tonpainting.com or chris@2tonpainting.com and we can work out all the details. On a side note his hands are not permanently attached but are magnetized to make transporting this monster easier. This price does not include the wooden display base that he is sitting on. If you are wanting that as well there will be an additional charge for that... just let me know in your email if you are wanting the base too.

So... I finished him up tonight after I got home from work... and damn... let me just say this... it is a great end to a bad night...

Also... to anyone else thinking of attempting this monster.... invest in some 2 part epoxy resin type glue... or find someone that works in the aircraft industry and get some ultra strong super glue from them... cause the wings are HUGE and they are very very awkward with their small mounting points for all the weight that they have to support.

Now I only have 2 more things to do for this model... and that is get the name plate made for the wood base and then get his custom foam cut... cause I am not about to take him ANYWHERE without knowing that he will get there safely. So he is going to get some custom foam from Battle Foam. Then he is getting packed away until Adepticon...

WIP post number 2... this is for my center piece of the competition circuit for this year. He has been labeled as my "Secret Project" for a little while now... but now that I have some paint on him and have some good pictures to show of my progress I am willing to finally let the cat out of the bag. He is a little on the big side... say... 9.5 inches tall and 10.5 inches wide at the widest point of his wings. He is... the Forge World Bloodthirster. I love this model very much. So far I am sitting at right around 15 to 20 hours into his paint job. His custom resin base that I made for him has about 6 hours of paint time.
