Well here they are... all based and ready to go. At this moment they are packed in a metric crap ton of bubble wrap and they are in a box ready to go to the great white north.

Chappy

I give you... the Crown Jewel of this commission... the jump chaplain. I spent roughly 7 hours getting this guy to look just right. And one of those hours was spent on just his skull face getting it to look just the way I felt it should.

I have been given lots of praise from the client for the rest of the stuff he sent me. And this being the last piece of the whole thing I now need to get them all based and get a final set of pictures as a group shot of the whole thing and then they get packed up and shipped out on monday.

So I am now off to go get my basing materials set up and I will post up some more here in a little while.

Scout around

Well the scouts are all done. I have one more thing to paint for this commission... the Chaplain. And he is partially done already cause I have been working on him all week. So I don't think he will take all that much longer either. I have been getting good responses from the client. I send him the same pictures I put up here and he keeps telling me he loves them. So back to work I go.

Here is the assault squad that I painted up for the client. Again its a match job. I didn't take a picture of his assault marine that he sent me. Don't ask me why... I just didn't think of it at the time. But aside from that I am happy with the way that they turned out. I know the client will like them as well because they will blend in great with the rest of his army.

Tactical Squad

This is the 10 man tactical squad that I painted up for my client. The are a pretty good match up like in the previous post that I made about the 5 man squad. None of this stuff is based just yet. I am waiting until I get done with all of the stuff he sent me so that I can do all the basing all at once.

Okay so this is more of the commission that the Rhino is part of... there will be a few more posts for that commission so just warning you.

In the first picture is the piece that the client sent for me to match... let me tell you this was harder than I first thought it would be. Cause not only am I trying to match colors which I had a little help on cause he sent me a couple bottles of the grey that he used. But I am also trying to match up some of the techniques so that the models are not such stand outs that you can take one look at the army and say "oh yeah those are the out sourced models" I am trying to blend them in so that the whole army looks right together.

I did make a few subtle changes that I feel artistically make things look a little better... a little cleaner and less cluttered.

Okay so I am back to work on a commission. This time for a new client. He sent me a Space Marine Battleforce box and a jump Chaplain to paint up. Well I spent the better part of the weekend prepping and spraying. Oh and I moved the paint studio into a different part of the house so now I can truly paint in peace and quiet if I want to.

So I was going through the box this morning trying to decide what the hell I wanted to paint first. Well I finally decided to paint the Rhino first. Can't really tell you what unit is next in line to get painted from the box. But it will be something cool.

Now this marine army is home brew army of the clients creation so I am just matching his paint scheme. When I start painting up the units I will get pictures of the models I am trying to match along with what I painted.
